Antitumor tetrahydroisoquinoline alkaloids from the colonial ascidian Ecteinascidia turbinata

A bioassay guided approach was used to isolate two antitumor tetrahydroisoquinoline alkaloids, 3 and 4, from the marine ascidian Ecteinascidia turbinata. The structures of 3 and 4 were determined through spectroscopic methods.
