Lieutenant Colonel David S. David Clifton, a twenty-four year member of the United States Air Force and veteran of World War II, recounts the experiences of childhood, military career, education and post-retirement life in Pompano Beach, Florida. This oral history includes photographs from the era of WWII, pertinent newspaper clippings, and memories of serving as a B-17 bomber pilot and crew training instructor and squadron commander. His active duty service included assignments in United States, United Kingdom and Guam. Mr. Clifton was eighty three years old at the time of the interview. He currently resides in Pompano Beach, Florida and runs a family owned and operated charter boat business.
