Field collections and laboratory bioassay experiments were conducted comparing various rotenone compounds and solutions with regard to their ability to stupefy and kill marine fish. Crystalline rotenone (97% pure rotenone), rotenone resin (42-45% rotenone) and premixed 5% emulsified rotenone solutions were tested as were alcohol, acetone and Aromatic 150 solvents.
