The ecology of the western Atlantic athecate hydroid, Solanderia gracilis

In situ observations of S. gracilis were made at five islands in the West Indies by skin diving to depths of 10m. At each site, S. gracilis colonies were measured and mapped. Notes were taken on substrate type; and associated fauna and flora were either recorded if readily identified or collected for later identification.
