Description
This thesis is concerned with the design, construction,
and implementation of a FORTRAN 77 preprocessor. It
demonstrates how the standard compiler-writing techniques
for syntactic and lexical analysis can be greatly simplified
in preprocessor construction. The input language
is FORTRAN 77. The output language is UNIVAC ASCII
FORTRAN Level 8R1.
