Description
Louise Jones (Gopher) 1970 BBA Graduate. She was the first female member of the Seminole Tribe of Florida to become a university graduate. She was a force for the creation of the tribes first charter school name Pemayetv Emahakv which translates into teaching our way. The school opened its doors in 2007. She has also been inducted into the Florida Woman's Hall of Fame and in 2014 she was awarded FAU's Distinguished Service Medallion by President John Kelly.
