Description
Mr. Simon Mass was born on July 24, 1918, in New York City to Jewish parents. Being a self described history buff, Mr. Mass read about Hitler’s actions against the Jewish people. In 1942, Mr. Mass was drafted and served in the U.S. Army until 1946. He discussed his training and fighting during World War II, including time spent in France, Belgium, and Germany. Mr. Mass also gave details about his combat experience during the Battle of the Bulge, the realities of war, and anti-Semitism.
