Dystopian science fiction, while portraying horrific possibilities of existence, often depicts an atmosphere analogous to our own world, conveying a harsh landscape only a few decades into the future. Erin Burns-Davies is a Ph.D. student in the LLL track of the Comparative Studies program at Florida Atlantic University.
