Note
The nauplii of the brine shrimp, Artemia salina (L.) have been used extensively as food for aquatic organisms for many years. It was not, however, until Little (1969) reported that the shrimp Palaemon macrodactylus Rathbun could be cultured using Artemia from San Francisco Bay, but not nauplii from Great Salt Lake, Utah, that geographical sources began to concern culturists.
