Additional Information
This work is part of SWEAT II a second series of broadsides created in 2013-2014.
The SWEAT Broadside collaboration was initiated in the summer of 2009 by a group of South Florida book artists, novelists, poets and printmakers. During a series of planned events, artists and writers from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties were invited to meet and share their work. The goal was to promote collaborations across genres by inviting participants to produce literary broadsides. In this manner The SWEAT Portfolio was formed. The theme pays homage to Sweat Records a shop in Little Haiti where the first meeting was held. SWEAT is a reference to South Florida's tropical climate, a noun and a verb, and is open to interpretation.
