Note
This broadside is from the collection of a historic suite of hand-printed literary broadsides which are a part of the "Al-Mutannabi Street” Broadside Project at the Arthur and Mata Jaffe Center for Book Arts at the FAU Libraries. Each broadside is truly a work of art. All are printed letterpress, usually from handset metal or wood type. Some feature original relief prints, some are printed on handmade paper; all are made with the passion of artists who have something to say. This broadside was printed at the Alembic Press, Oxfordshire, England. It was printed on a Vandercook cylinder press in a 48pt Doric no. 6, 14 pt classic Grotesque and 12 pt Gill no. 5. The paper is textured cream.
