Three novel heterocyclic compounds, mycalamide-A and -B and onnamide, were isolated from Mycale sp. and Theonella sp. sponges collected in New Zealand and Okinawan waters. Each exhibited potent in vitro toxicity and in vivo efficacy against murine and human tumor cells.
