The Nassau grouper (Epinephelus striatus) is a member of the sea bass family
Serranidae. It prefers to inhabit oceanic rock or coral reef area s and
ranges from Bermuda and South Carolina to Brazil, including the Cari bbean
Sea and Gulf of Mexico. This fish is one of the friendliest things you are
likely to encounter when diving in the Caribbean.
