Discias atlanticus is a tropical species reported from several widely separated localities in the Atlantic Ocean, stretching from the type locality at Bermuda, to Guadeloupe in the Caribbean Sea, and the Cape Verde Islands and Gabon, in the eastern Atlantic Ocean.
