Note

Vertical profiles of stimulated bioluminescence spectra were obtained using an in situ spectrometer deployed on a cruise in the Gulf of Maine. By comparing the bulk spectral signal with spectra of individual species determined by shipboard measurements, we examined the possibility of reconstructing the assemblage of bioluminescent species present.
