Project Goals:1) Map & characterize the benthichabitat, macrobenthic biota, and fishpopulations within and adjacent tonewly designated shelf-edge MPAsand CHAPCs off the SE US.2) Compare with prior and futuresurveys to better understand longtermhealth and status of theseimportant deepwater coral/spongeecosystems.3) Provide information to resourcemanagers to inform decisions onprotected habitats and managed key species.
