Description
This thesis surveys the uses of videotape in the business and industrial
setting, citing several cases of successful use of the medium
in training and development applications. Data from a survey of a
selected sample of the membership of the American Society for Training
and Development is presented. These data indicate uses of videotape
and the subjective evaluations of the respondents of the effectiveness
of the medium in sales training, safety training, operations
or production training and management development applications. Two
objective studies of the effectiveness of videotape are presented.
These studies, carried out by the author, involve safety training and
production training.
