Description
In this thesis, an augmented reality device was coupled with motion sensor units to function as a system of cooperative technologies for usage within exercise science and neurorehabilitation. Specifically, in a subfield of exercise science called biomechanics, the assessment and analysis of movements are critical to the evaluation and prescription of improvements for physical function in both daily and sport-specific activities. Furthermore, the systematic combination of these technologies provided potential end-users with a modality to perform exercise within, and correlated feedback based upon the end-user’s exercise performance. Data collection specific to biomechanics can provide both the end-user and their evaluators with critical feedback that can be used to modify movement efficiency, improve exercise capacity, and evaluate exercise performance. By coordinating both technologies and completing movement-based experiments, the systems were successfully integrated.

Description
The story is a sequence of events. Since nomadic times we have been drawn to the process of storytelling and the underlying themes hidden within these plots. Now, as the technological advancements made in new media lead us to this point, there is the need to reconcile the connection of the narrative with that of new media. Many theorists such as Manovich believe the narrative is slowly dying as new media continues to evolve. While others such as Bolter and Grusin think the story and traditional media is merely reinserting itself into new media. In the augmented reality story, The Seven Ages of Susanna, I seek to create a marriage of conventional media narrative and illustration techniques. By using new media tools of Vuforia and Unity, I aim to create an immersive experience that reconciles this issue.

This article explores ways to increase access and usability of special
collections by leveraging the value of open access and the value of
collaboration. Tools that enhance discovery of special collections
through the Internet, contextualize, and actively engage the user
such as BibilioBoard, Historypin, and Augmented Reality can be
an integral part of a strategy to increase access to special collections.
More importantly, reference librarians can play a key role
in facilitating discovery and access by including special collections
in reference searches and by expanding their collaborative and
liaison activities.

Description
While new technologies are often used to facilitate regular people's lives, they often fail to see their potential in helping disabled people. Augmented reality, one of the newest state-of-the-art technologies, offers users the opportunity to add virtual information to their real world surroundings in real time. It also has the potential to not only augment the sense of sight, but also other senses such as hearing. Augmented reality could be used to offer the opportunity to complement users' missing sense. In this thesis, we study augmented reality technologies, systems and applications, and suggest the future of AR applications. We explain how to integrate augmented reality into iOS applications and propose an augmented reality application for hearing augmentation using an iPad2. We believe mobile devices are the best platform for augmented reality as they are widespread and their computational power is rapidly growing to be able to handle true AR applications.
