Ruth Tappen, RN, EdD, Christine E. Lynn Eminent Scholar in Nursing. Founder of the Louis and Anne Green Memory and Wellness Center that focuses on Alzheimer's and other memory disorders and provides help to their families and caregivers. She also won federal funding to create the geriatric nurse PR actioner master's degree program. She served as FAU's first vice president for research for two years. Ruth Tappen, RN, EdD, Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing. She a co-principal investigator of a national study INTERACT by the National Institute of Health. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. She is a member of numerous professional organizations including the Alzheimer's Association, Nursing Special Interest Group of the Gerontological Society and the Southern Nursing Research Society.
